Steelers Safety Logan Placed On IR
Staff Report January 6, 2003
The beat-up Steelers secondary got another blow Monday as the team placed safety Mike Logan on injured reserve, ending his season.
Logan injured his right knee in the third quarter of Pittsburgh's 36-33 win over Cleveland Sunday. Logan had surgery Monday.
To take Logan's roster spot, the Steelers signed rookie safety Erik Totten to the active roster. Totten began the season on the practice squad, before being signed to the roster for the game against the Bengals. He went back to the practice squad after that game.
Steelers cornerback Chidi Iwuoma left Sunday's game with a knee injury. Pittsburgh entered the game with cornerback Chad Scott due to a broken thumb.
