Fisher's Staff Ready For Steelers
Staff Report January 5, 2003

Head Coach Jeff Fisher said the Titans will return to work Monday ready for another ''Steelers Week.''

''It’s here,'' Fisher said at Sunday's Press Conference. It’s a great challenge. It’s going to be a real fun week, and we’re certainly looking forward to it.''

Tennessee will host the Steelers Saturday at 3:30p(cst) in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Fisher said some members of his staff had probably started working on the Jets as the Browns built an early lead, but the Steelers' 22 fourth quarter points put a Titans/Steelers matchup back on the schedule.

''There is a sense of familiarity there with the matchups,'' Fisher said. ''The players understand their speed and the individual matchups. Having played them once this year, it will be.''

The Titans beat the Steelers 31-23 November 17 at the Coliseum.

''I believe we’ve improved,'' Fisher said. ''But you can look at Pittsburgh’s record, and I believe they’ve improved also. The key is going into this game healthy and continue to improve this week. But I believe we’re a better team right now than we were when we played Pittsburgh, although we played well. We were ready to play.''
