Bye Week A Productive One For Titans
By Levi Woodroof January 3, 2003

As the bye week comes to a close, head coach Jeff Fisher said that the week proved to be a very productive one.

''We got some things done that we needed to, we got Steve on the practice field which was real good,'' Fisher said. ''We have the chance, like we have said all week, to be a healthy team next weekend.''

''We got a lot done this week in a short amount of time,'' Fisher said. ''We went back and looked at some tape, looked at cut ups and things that were good for us, especially a lot of run game stuff.''

Fisher said that the assistant coaches used the week to study the three potential opponents Jets, Colts, and Steelers, so that on Sunday they can start to fine-tune the game plan.

Several players were held out of practice Friday, defensive end Jevon Kearse (foot), defensive tackle John Thorton(ankle), defensive tackle Robaire Smith (foot), cornerback Samari Rolle (ribs), cornerback Donald Mitchell (ankle), offensive lineman Brad Hopkins (knee), offensive lineman Benji Olson (toe) and offensive lineman Zack Piller (calf).

Piller, Mitchell and Olson spent some time on the stationary bike, while Thornton did some agility drills on an adjacent field.
