Titans To Travel To San Diego In 2006
Staff Report January 1, 2006

The Titans will face five playoff teams during the 2006 regular season.

San Diego's loss Saturday completed the Titans schedule rotation. Tennessee finished third in the AFC South and will face the third-place team in the AFC North (Ravens) and West (at Chargers).

The division rotation, set up during 2002's realignment, begins its second turn, as the AFC South faces the AFC East and NFC East.

The 2006 home schedule appears to be the strongest in the history of the Coliseum. In addition to the Titans' three AFC South rivals, the Patriots, Jets and Ravens will visit Nashville. NFC East opponents Dallas and New York will also appear.

The Jets will be making their first-ever visit to the Coliseum, though they played at Vanderbilt Stadium in 1998.

The Titans' road schedule in '06 includes the Colts, Jaguars and Texans as well as the Bills, Dolphins, Chargers, Redskins, and Eagles.

The Titans will visit Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field for the first time next season. The 2006 season marks the fifth straight year the Titans have played the Dolphins.

The pre-season schedule will be released in the next two months. The date/time schedule for the Titans' 16 regular season games will be announced in April.
