Here's how the Titans compare to the rest of the NFL heading into week 15.
With 119 tackles, Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck ranks eighth in the NFL for total tackles. Bulluck recorded six of those tackles against the Seahawks.
Bulluck received more votes than any other outside linebacker in the AFC from fan voting for the 2006 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Bulluck received 231,008 votes.
Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch finds himself in second place in the NFL with 12.5 sacks. Vanden Bosch failed to record a sack in Sunday’s 28-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Vanden Bosch finished right behind Indianapolis’ Dwight Freeney in Pro Bowl voting for defensive ends in the AFC. Vanden Bosch received 292,990 votes from fans who voted.
Kick returners/cornerback Pacman Jones fell a couple of spots in both kickoff and punt return average. Jones averages 25.6 yards on 37 kickoff returns ranking him seventh in the NFL and 12.9 yards on 19 punt returns for the Titans ranking him second in the league. Pacman looks to get his second touchdown of the season when the Titans head to Miami to take on the Dolphins in a Christmas Eve match up.
Quarterback Steve McNair moves to 11th in the league in passing yards with 3,127. McNair’s also thrown 16 touchdown passes ranking him 14th in the NFL. McNair’s passer rating of 85.3 ranks him 15th in the league. Against the Seahawks, McNair finished the game completing 23 of his 38 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns.
Titans punter Craig Hentrich falls into the 16th spot in the NFL in punting average with 43 yards per kick. Hentrich’s knocked 16 punts inside the Titans opponents’ 20 thus far into the season. In Sunday’s game, Hentrich hit two punts with an average of 45 yards.
Kicker Rob Bironas, with 94 total points, kicked his way into the 16th spot in the NFL for scoring. Bironas converted on his only field goal in Sunday’s loss. Bironas is 22 for 28 in field goals on the season ranking him 12th in the league.
Titans running back Chris Brown’s rushed for 833 yards this season ranking him in at 19th in the league. Brown averages 3.8 yards per carry. In Sunday’s match up against the visiting Seahawks, Brown carried the ball 20 times for 56 yards. Brown needs 167 yards to reach 1,000 yards rushing on the season. The Titans still remain without a 100-yard rusher on the season.
