Willams Out For Season With Fractured Wrist
By Jonathan Hutton December 5, 2005

Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said wide receiver Roydell Williams topped the injury list for the Titans.

''[Roydell] has a dislocated wrist with a fracture and [doctors] are going to have to pin it and he'll be lost for the remainder of the season,'' Fisher said. ''He'll recover fully from this.''

Fisher said Williams will not suffer a setback because he will be able to work out and stay in shape.

''This is not a leg injury that will prevent him from working this off-season,'' Fisher said. ''He’ll come back and he’ll be fine.’’

Fisher said with the loss to Williams along with rookie receiver Brandon Jones, O.J. Small will step up and fill the void at receiver.

''[Small] understands everything,’’ Fisher said. ''He can play all three positions. He won’t have a problem playing for us.’’

Fisher said the other Titan who will likely miss action this week would be tight end Erron Kinney.

''Erron Kinney will probably miss this week with a knee injury,'' Fisher said. ''We're doing tests just to see what extent it is.''

Fisher said he is not concerned that Kinney’s injury would be ACL-related.

Fisher said quarterback Steve McNair is doing better following the physical game at Indianapolis.

''Steve’s got a shin contusion and a mild ankle sprain but I think he’ll be alright.’’

Fisher said he expects defensive end Travis LaBoy to be able to play Sunday against Houston.

''I’m confident that Travis LaBoy will get back on the field this week from last week’s elbow injury and should have a chance to play.’’

Fisher mentioned Antwan Odom injured his foot during the game but came in on Monday feeling fine.

''He had turf toe but he seemed to be ok today,'' Fisher said.
