Receiver Jones Done For Season
By Kyla DeHay November 30, 2005

The rookie season of Titans Wide Receiver Brandon Jones ended Wednesday when MRI results revealed a torn ACL.

''We spoke with the doctors,'' Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. ''After a series of tests, it has been determined that he has torn his ACL. He will need reconstructive surgery. He’ll have it in the next week to 10 days.''

Jones went down with 27 seconds remaining in the first half of Sunday's win over San Francisco. Jones crumpled to the ground as Shawntae Spencer grabbed a Steve McNair pass and returned it 61 yards for a score.

Initial news Monday appeared more positive on Jones' knee. Fisher said wide receiver Tyrone Calico should be available to play Sunday in Jones' place.
