As the Titans travel to play the undefeated Colts, Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said he believes his team has improved since the first matchup in October.
''The cornerbacks plays have improved,'' Fisher said. ''Tank (Williams)' legs are under him now. I think the young defensive linemen have improved and Pete (Sirmon)'s legs are under him now. The group is playing pretty well together. That will give us an emotional lift going to the ball game and we feel like when the week is said and done we'll have a good plan and it's the matter of going out there and making plays.''
Fisher said defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth will be key for Tennessee in trying to contain the NFL's third-ranked offense.
''We like to think it'll be a factor inside the run game,'' Fisher said. ''They are very good in running it and you have to win it one-on-one block and get off. You cannot gap fit the run game because if you do, you will give up an awful lot of the pass game. So somebody will have to do double duty and Albert's pretty good at it.''
At 11-0, Indianapolis comes into this game a heavy favorite over the 3-8 Titans. Fisher said the game will show where the Titans are 11 games in this season.
''This is a great opportunity for this team,'' Fisher said. ''One thing we all have to understand that Coach Dungy is going to have his team focused and prepared and ready. They are not going to overlook anything and they are going out there to do the best they can with what they have with an effort to try to win.''
''They are focusing on the long hall, the big one, the home field advantage and the championship. We are going out there and just try to scratch, claw, fight, and try to find a way to beat them.''
