Brandon Jones Leads Short List Of Injury Concerns
By Jonathan Hutton November 28, 2005

Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said the two players the Titans staff is most concerned about on Monday are wide receiver Brandon Jones and defensive end Travis LaBoy.

''We’re still doing tests on Brandon, although he is better today,’’ Fisher said. ''He didn’t have the swelling that we anticipated.’’

''Travis has a hyper-extended elbow. He came out of the ballgame and he’s got some swelling. We haven’t ruled him out, but he’s going to be sore I think throughout the week. We’ll just have to see how he progresses day-to-day. ’’

Jones went down in the second quarter right before halftime while attempting to catch a pass from Steve McNair. Fisher said Jones’ knee gave out on him while making a cut towards the ball.

''It was loose and gave out on him,'' Fisher said. ''It scared him. He had never experienced anything like that before.''

Fisher said Tyrone Calico may get back on the practice field this week and added Calico’s chances of playing against Indianapolis are good.

''I feel like Ty Calico has a chance, a very good chance at getting back in the lineup,’’ Fisher said. ''In the event where we lose Brandon for a week or whether we do not, at least Ty has a chance to come back and play, which will be helpful for us.’’

Fisher said Calico, if able to play, would split time with Courtney Roby.

''I don’t think Ty - because of the nature of the injury and the time that he has missed - I don’t think he’s ready to play 40-50 plays yet,’’ Fisher said. ''So we would probably alternate both of them.’’
