WR Prospect To Begin Round Six
Staff Report April 30, 2006

The Titans drafted a wide receiver prospect with the 172nd selection taking Wisconsin wide receiver Jonathan Orr.

Orr joins veteran David Givens and a young group of wide receivers already on the Titans roster. Orr said he isn't worried about the amount of receivers already on the team.

''I think I fit in pretty good,'' Orr said. ''Regardless of the situation on where I ended up [in the draft], I was ready to go out and compete and contribute the best way I can.''

Orr (6-1, 193) caught 40 passes for 688 yards and eight touchdowns last season, starting 12 games for the Badgers.

'' We didn't throw the ball a lot at my school but it did give me a chance to focus on other aspects on the game which are just as important as far as blocking, and I developed a toughness through the style of play that we played at Wisconsin that most receivers probably don't have,'' Orr said.

''I'm able to make plays, especially touchdowns in the red zone,'' Orr said. ''I'm a big target who can stretch the field and provide opportunities to make plays.''

Titans Radio Draft Analyst Mike Detillier ranked Orr as the 16th best receiver available in the draft, with Orr's personality perhaps his biggest question mark.

''He has a laid-back personality and he must learn to push himself,'' Detillier wrote. ''Seems to get down on himself and lose focus when he is not that involved in the gameplan.''
