Titans cornerback and special teams returner Pacman Jones received a punt at his own 19 yard line for a 81 yard touchdown and netted 260 total yards in the return game on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
"I didn't think they would kick to him in the first place," Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said.
Jones put the Titans in good field position all game long as he averaged over 50 yards per punt return and averaged over 22 yards per return on kickoffs.
"He did a nice job with our field position," Fisher said. "It shows you what he's capable of doing."
After Jones punt return for a touchdown, the Patriots would not punt to Jones, and squibbed the rest of their kickoffs.
Jones' punt return was his third of the season, which tied Billy "White Shoes" Johnson for the Titans/Oilers franchise record.
This was the first game all season in which Jones garnered both jobs in returning kickoffs and punts.
Throughout the season, Jones mainly returned punts and handled kickoffs sparingly.
