B. Jones Has Career Day Against Bills
By Colt McCormick December 24, 2006

Titans wide receiver Brandon Jones had a career day against the Bills on Christmas Eve. The second year wide receiver out of Oklahoma recorded his first 100-yard game of his career.

Jones had 101-yards and a touchdown on five receptions in Tennessee's win over the Bills.

Jones, who averaged over 20-yards a catch in the victory, said that the career performance is a reflection of the entire team's mentality.

''We are starting to fight as a team, and this is how a team is supposed to play,'' Jones said. ''We decided in the middle of the year this is how we are going to play together as a squad. Special teams, offense, defense; we all came together and we came out on top.''

Jones accounted for 55% of the Titans receiving yards against the Bills. Jones previous career high is an 82-yard effort that came last October in a loss to Cincinnati.

Jones said that his receiving performance is complementary to his rookie quarterback's play.

''That was V. Young finding me,'' Jones said of his touchdown reception. ''V. Young is a playmaker. All year we have said that we got to help VY and we did.''

With the Titans trailing 29-20, Jones 29-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter ignited the Titans offense, which managed only ten net yards in the third quarter.

''One more to go, and we are going to come out and fight hard,'' Jones said.
