Titans rookie wide receiver Jonathan Orr will see a familiar face across the sidelines against Buffalo on Sunday. Orr will face in his former Wisconson teammate Lee Evans, a wide receiver for the Bills.
Evans, in his third year with the Bills, is having a career season. Evans has 70 receptions for 1083-yards, both of which are career highs.
Orr said that Evans success in 2006 did not come as a shock after playing next to his former teammate at Wisconsin for two seasons.
''It is impressive, but it doesn’t surprise me,'' Orr said. ''He had a couple of pretty good seasons before this one, so I expect it from him.''
Evans breakout season has gotten the attention of many people around the NFL. But Orr said that it is Evan’s intangibles that make him one of the most explosive receivers in the league.
''(Evans) competitive nature rubs off on everybody,'' Orr said. ''His perseverance, being relentless and leading on and off the field and leading by example, he just goes out and does it.''
Orr said that Evans has helped him transition in the NFL from college by sharing his experiences with the Titans first-year wideout.
''Before the season started I talked to him,'' Orr said. ''He just gave me advice preparing for the draft and stuff like that, about his rookie year.''
