The Titans practiced Thursday later than normal as they moved practiced time from 11a to 4p.
Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said the team needed the extra rest and the players used it to their advantage.
"We're back on track now, it was important to them," Fisher said. "We've done it several other times and I think the timing of it was good."
The Titans are set to face a Bills team on Sunday that is using the similar path in which the Titans are taking as the NFL season comes to an end. The Bills have won five of their last seven games, which includes two straight impressive victories in which they won on the road against the Jets and shut Miami out at home. The Titans have won five straight.
Fisher said they are an improving football club due to quarterback J.P. Losman, who strung back to back good games together. Losman is 91-of-137 passing for 1050 yards with 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in his last five games.
"He can make plays, improvise, he's had a really solid four or five weeks," Fisher said.
Fisher said Losman is making the correct reads and can break out of the pocket when necessary and throw accurately on the run.
"He's making the right decisions and he has escapibility and is an accurate passer," Fisher said.
Not to forget Travis Henry's successor in running back Willis McGahee, since being injured against Green Bay in week nine, McGahee has 293 rushing yards in four games with four rushing touchdowns.
Add explosive wide receiver Lee Evans, who has 70 recpetions for 1083 yards and six touchdowns on the season.
"They are very disciplined offense," Fisher said. "They are very explosive, their a vertical offense and they run the ball very well."
The Bills also have a very impressive special teams returning duo in punt returner Roscoe Parrish and kick returner Terrence McGee. Parrish tops the AFC in punt return average and McGee is fifth in the NFL in kick return average.
"There as good as a tandem we've faced all year," Fisher said.
The Titans will travel to Orchard Park, NY this Sunday to face off with Buffalo at noon. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 40's so whether should not be an issue.
