Titans Shut Out Of Pro Bowl

No Titans were named to the Pro Bowl when the NFL announced the rosters on Tuesday.

The San Diego Chargers had nine players named to the AFC roster to lead all teams. Among the Chargers selected were Phillip Rivers, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Shawne Merriman.

The Indianapolis Colts had five players named to the roster, including quarterback Peyton Manning and wide receivers Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne.

Houston's Andre Johnson was selected as a wide receiver, and Jacksonville's Rashean Mathis was named to the roster as well.

In the NFC, Chicago led the way with seven players, including rookie kick returner Devin Hester.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo were named to the roster as well.

This marks the third straight year that no Titans have been initially named to the Pro Bowl. Kyle Vanden Bosch and Steve McNair were named last season as alternates.

Safety Chris Hope, center Kevin Mawae, return man Pacman Jones and rookie quarterback Vince Young all were named alternates, while linebacker Keith Bulluck, despite finishing second in the fan voting, was left out altogether.
