During the Titans four game winning streak, the Titans have continued to use great second half adjustments to take down their opponents.
Since the Philadelphia game, on November 19, the Titans have only given up two second half touchdown to their opponents. Halftime adjustments for the Titans have helped to spark the Titans down the stretch in close games.
Head Coach Jeff Fisher said your goal going into a game is to have a certain defensive plan for your opponents, but as is usually the case the other team forces you to make adjustments.
''The defensive staff has done a nice job,'' Fisher said. ''We go into a game with a plan and then you are not always able to predict and expect what is going to take place, and so you are forced to adjust.''
Over the past four games, the Titans were outscored in the first half by a combined score of 48-26. However, in the second half over the past four games, the Titans have outscored their opponents by a combined score of 75-23.
Fisher said a lot of the credit goes to the Titans defensive coaching staff, but much of the second half defensive effort comes from the way the rest of the team has reacted in the second half.
''I think the offense, and the special teams have certainly helped us, with field position from a defensive standpoint,'' Fisher said. ''When you run the ball quite a bit, you are able to be productive defensively.''
During this four game winning streak for the Titans, the Titans offense has rushed the ball for 754 yards, averaging 188.2 yards on the ground per game.
The Titans will look to make it a five game winning streak this Sunday when they will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at L.P. Field. Game time is set for 12:00 cst
