RB Brown May See More Playing Time
By Bethany Mitchell, December 11, 2006

Based upon the unknown injury status entering the upcoming practice schedule of running backs Lendale White and Travis Henry, Chris Brown may continue to see more playing time against Jacksonville next Sunday.

Brown had a total of 44 rushing yards in Sunday's game against Houston. Head Coach Jeff Fisher said it was good to see him with a strong finish and mentioned the possibility of Brown holding the RB position by himself next week.

"It was really good to see him finish the way he finished,'' Fisher said. ''To have a healthy set of legs and a back that’s been eagerly awaiting his opportunity was a good situation for us at the end of the game. I don’t know LenDale’s (White) status. I don’t know Travis’(Henry)status. Now there’s the case Chris may get it all by himself this weekend. We just don’t know. We just have to wait."

White missed practice all of last week with a combination of a hip strain and flu-like symptoms.

Henry was injured as he scored a two-yard rushing touchdown late in the fourth quarter, coming out of the play with an ankle injury. Tight end Bo Scaife also encountered an ankle injury in Sunday's game. The extent of both injuries has yet to be determined.

"(They’re) very sore," Fisher said. "They’ve got ankles (injuries). They’ll be day to day. We’re still waiting on the results, but they’ve got swelling and they’re sore.

Guard Benji Olson (back) is expected to return to the field this week. Fisher said Olson "will benefit with the rest over the weekend."

The Titans will take on the Jaguars for the second time this season Sunday at 12 pm CST at LP Field.
