Jones' Case Continued Til February
Staff Report December 6, 2006

A judge continued until February 1, 2007 the case involving Titans Cornerback Pacman Jones and the alleged spitting into the face of a Tennessee State University student.

Krystal Webb accused Jones of spitting in her face at a Nashville nightclub in October. She recently hired a private attorney to handle her case, one of the reasons the judge continued the case.

''We had had some positive dialogue with Ms. Webb, and the district attorney's office has been courteous and professional,'' Jones' Attorney Worrick Robinson told the Tennessean. ''Subsequently, however, (Ms. Webb) retained a private attorney, which has changed the landscape of resolving the case.''

The Tennessean reports it is unclear why Webb asked a private attorney to handle the case and not the district attorney.
