OLB Beasley fails to show at start of Titans camp

Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Vic Beasley did not report to the team facility with the other veterans on Tuesday to begin COVID-19 testing as the NFL opened training camp across the league.The Titans placed Beasley on their reserve/did not report list, the team announced. No reason was issued for Beasley’s absence. Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel did not address the situation during a virtual press conference with media prior to the transaction being announced.Beasley, 28, was the Titans’ most noteworthy free agent addition of the offseason. He signed a reported one-year, $9.5 million guaranteed contract — a deal that could max out at $12 million with incentives — in March after five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.A first-round pick (eighth overall) out of Clemson in 2015, Beasley has 37.5 career sacks over 78 NFL games, including 60 starts. In 2016, he led the league with 15.5 sacks and with six forced fumbles during his lone Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro season.
